Formation of Regions
At a meeting of the Club Council* in January 1995 a proposal to restructure the Council was put forward. It was decided that the UK would be divided into 10 Regions, each with a Regional Council. These Regional Councils would elect delegates to sit on a restructured Club Council. This Regional structure began on 1 January 1996.
The Club’s Divisions organise events for members and promote them; they also promote Club events and support local rallying (temporary sites) and Centres within their area. In addition, they offer opportunities to network and meet other members. Each Division is designed to offer members a more personalised, local experience while fostering a sense of community and belonging.
*The Club Council helps to shape the direction of the Club and conveys the views of the wider membership to the Executive Committee.

Change of Regions to Divisions
A review group appointed by the CAMC Executive** dedicated a lot of time to looking at ways to improve the Club’s Divisions, Regions and Centres and secure their viability for the future. Following much consultation, analysis and deliberation the recommendations were approved by the CAMC Executive Committee in 2024. The new Constitution will align the operational and support framework of all Divisions across the whole of the UK.
**CAMC Executive is in effect, the Board of Directors of the Club.
